This season, we’re discovering the beauty hidden in ordinary moments. 

Every Sunday leading to Christmas, our “Unexpected Gifts” sermon series (paired with short drama skits) reminds us that God often shows up in ways we don’t plan: in interruptions, imperfections, and the places we’d never think to look. The Christmas story is full of surprises… and maybe yours will be too. 

Join us as we celebrate a Savior who still slips grace into our everyday lives - quietly, gently, and often when we least expect it.

Christmas Eve Services

December 24 | 2:30 PM & 4:00 PM

On Christmas Eve, our entire church gathers together - no classrooms, no age breaks, just one big family celebrating one extraordinary moment. There will be no nursery or kids/teen classes so everyone can worship side-by-side as we remember the greatest gift ever given. Come be part of a room filled with wonder, warmth, and the kind of hope only Jesus brings.

Tuesday, November 25 | 5:30–7:30 PM

Kick off the season with a little sparkle. Northside Kids is heading to Newport News Park’s Celebration in Lights - a glowing two-mile walk surrounded by over a million lights, animated displays, and shimmering arches. 

What to Expect: Park & meet at Woodside High School, ride shuttles together into the park, walk the light trail as one big group. Then, return to Woodside by foot and end the night with pizza at Joe & Mimma’s (cheese, pepperoni, or sausage + drink) Bundle up, bring the family, and let’s welcome the season together.

Small acts can become unexpected blessings. Our lobby Giving Tree is filled with tags representing families that need some help this Christmas season. 

Here’s how to join in: Pick a tag, purchase the listed gifts, return items unwrapped with the tag by Sunday, December 7.

Bring a blanket and your Christmas spirit - we’re watching the classics together: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Enjoy pizza, cookies, hot chocolate, and family bingo. It’s the perfect cozy night to kick off Christmas week.
